- 1Capturing full page URLs that contain personal data in query parameters or path segments
- 2Not configuring URL sanitisation to strip sensitive identifiers from performance beacons
- 3Overlooking that mPulse beacons still transmit IP addresses, which are personal data under GDPR
Compliance considerations
Collects performance timing data, page URLs, and limited device/browser metadata. Generally lower privacy risk than analytics tags as the primary purpose is performance monitoring. A legitimate interest basis may be appropriate if IP addresses are anonymised.
