Common mistakes
- 1Capturing full page URLs that contain personal data in query strings or path segments
- 2Not configuring URL sanitisation rules to strip sensitive parameters from performance beacons
- 3Overlapping SpeedCurve RUM with other RUM tools, creating unnecessary duplicate data collection
Compliance considerations
Collects performance timing data, resource loading metrics, and page URL information. Primary purpose is performance monitoring — lower privacy risk than analytics or advertising tags. A legitimate interest basis may be appropriate for basic RUM. Configure URL sanitisation to prevent personal data in URLs from being captured.
