- 2Using custom event properties that inadvertently contain personal data
- 3Assuming consent exemption extends to other analytics tools deployed alongside Plausible
Compliance considerations
Does not set cookies, does not collect personal identifiers, and does not perform cross-site tracking. EU-hosted (Hetzner, Germany). Designed to comply with GDPR without requiring consent. The CNIL and other DPAs have indicated that analytics tools meeting these criteria may be exempt from consent requirements. Verify the implementation does not combine Plausible data with other identifying data sources.
